"Brotherhood" - film Nicolo Donato

"Brotherhood" is the last movie Nicolo Donato, Danish-Swedish production, which won last year at the Rome Film Festival. I disappeared completely, despite the fact that it was also shown at the BFI 24th London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival in March this year. Well, you have to pull it from the net somewhere or buy the DVD, because this film looks very interesting! Abstract

is fascinating ...

"Lars leaves the army and joins a group of neo-Nazis, Which ruthless organises raids against Arabs and Homosexuals. Apprenticeship to the 'brotherhood' is tough and Lars is supported by Jimmy, who acts as his mentor, charged with testing his trustworthiness and the preparation of fundamentalist far right texts in the style of 'Mein Kampf'. Unforeseeably, a passionate affair ensues between the two men. A love lived in secret, until the group's racist and violent rules end up forcing the pair to face the inevitable quandary: to betray their ideological 'brothers' or betray their lover other and their own feelings. Whatever the choice, it will lead to violence one way or another, whether physical or mental."

Oficjalny trailer

If we are already in motion nazi-gay and homosexuality "extreme right", it is noteworthy that in the past few years, also came out a lot of interesting books about the environment kryptohomoseksualizmu British skinheads in the '70s. They show how much these two things were always connected, very often at the expense of a double life!

in Poland, I wonder how the film was accepted? :)
